Biking - San Mateo to Palo Alto

Distance: 35km
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/21850067

Yesterday, I woke up at 6 so I could catch the 6:44 train to Palo Alto (where I work).
I got off the train in San Mateo with a friend of mine and we biked down to Palo Alto. As you can see on the pictures, it was dark and as you cannot see, it was cold. There was frost on the fields... My toes were freezing but it was nice.

Heading East, the sun is finally rising.

My random outfit matches with my bike.

My friend Gilad:
Have a good day!

Eating - Clams

Fresh clams from the Farmer Market with pasta. That was last Monday.

Eating - 3 course menu

And after a long ride...

First: homemade seasonal vegetable soup

Second: Steak saute a la bordelaise and poireaux braises (braised leeks)

Third: Pommes normande en bellevue (apple sauce caramel mold)

Biking - Panoramic Road

About 86km, about 4h.

No GPS data today.... The bracelet of my GPS broke before I left... It was a beautiful ride but longer than I expected.
It was also very windy on the coastal road (the famous 1), and I had a hard time going straight with the wind gusts.

Happy Sunday everybody!

Always a very relaxed face as you can see :)

Eating - Moules Marinieres

Since food is the second most important element of training (after actually training), we have decided to include some examples of all balanced regime on this blog.
Tonight was a delicious recipe of house made Moules Marineres and its fresh french fries. Yummy!

Biking - Easy ride around San Francisco

Garmin Connect - Activity Details for Easy ride around San Francisco

Time: 02:15:37
Distance: 29.96 km
Elevation Gain: 326 m

For this first day of 2010, Mai Ly and I went for an easy ride around San Francisco. Precipitation chances were only 30%... and of course it rained.

Biking - Last sunset over San Francisco

For this last day of 2009, I decided to go for a short ride up Twin Peaks. If you are looking for a short workout, just climb 17th starting from Market... This is a good warm up.
Once up there, I climbed Twin Peaks 3 times. I then decided to wait for the last sunset. Unfortunately, it was cloudy... I left before the night since I had no light on my bike.

No GPS data today, I ran out of battery after 3 minutes....

Happy new year everybody!
