Sunny saturday in SF
The sun is finally back in town!
This morning we went to the buttcamp. It is a great outdoor workout. Sit ups in front of the Golden Gate are easier than situps at the gym.
And because we burnt so much calories, we deserved a good diner.
As a starter, foie gras, fig marmelade, and MaiLy's green salad:
As an entree, steak peper sauce with oven-baked potatoes / cream / onions / bacon.
Happy Valentine's day all!

Bike to work again
On Friday, the motivation was still there. Alarm at 5:30am, on the bike at 6:10, meeting at 6:20 and departure at 6:30am. It was a pretty easy ride to Palo Alto, with some little rain.
Here is the place where I usually go kitesurfing: 3rd avenue in San Mateo.
People from Google I was riding with:
Yes, it was foggy:
The downside of this ride is that at 10:30am I had the feeling it was 4pm or something. Thanks god it was Friday.

Bike to work: San Francisco to Palo Alto
Yesterday morning, I decided to bike to work the entire way: 70km (44 miles).
Here is the strava link with the map
http://www.strava.com/rides/72445
This is a nice ride, absolutely flat, so it is pretty easy. I think I could do it everyday if I had the motivation to wake up at 5 every morning... I had the chance to see the sunrise over the bay. What a beautiful start for the day. I am thinking about doing it twice a week.
Once arrived in Palo Alto, I looked at the highway and thought: "I am happy not to be in one of these cars". I have not taken my car to work in 2010! Only bike and train :)
Countdown is on for the vacation. 8 days before we fly off to Honduras for a week of kitesurf :)

Quiet week
This week has not been very active so far. I did my usual ride on my favorite indoor bike on Monday and beat my personal time by 50s with 0:42:34 on 13.58 miles. I should get below 40 by July...
A few miles of bike for my commute. Riding in between cars in downtown San Francisco is full of sensations, believe me. Boxing yesterday night and probably tomorrow night. I am still very bad at it but it is a good work out.
On the food side, some new dishes:
Almost fresh trout
And a steak tartar. The guy at the store is always surprised when we tell him we are going to eat it raw. This time, he did not even want to sell us anything...
